Ama Doo Alchini Bighan, Inc. (ADABI) is a non-profit, community-based program offering 24-hour crisis counseling and advocacy to victims and families of domestic violence. ADABI’s after hour crisis services and safe homes are provided by local trained volunteers who are accessed through the Chinle Hospital. ADABI services also include Navajo traditional healing, support groups, an outreach program, community education, referrals, and a community domestic violence task force.

DNA People's Legal Service

DNA-People's Legal Services, Inc., is a non-profit corporation established in 1967 to provide low-income residents of the Navajo and Hopi Nations with comprehensive free legal services, including family law, consumer law, public entitlements, and civil rights. DNA drafted and helped get passed both the Navajo Nation Domestic Abuse Protection Act (DAPA) and the Hopi Nation's domestic abuse prevention act. In 1995, DNA established the Native American Family Violence Prevention Project (NAFVPP). The Project has increased community awareness of the DAPA, trained public agencies, police, prosecutors, and court personnel about the law. More recently, the Project has been involved in setting up protocols between tribes and states that facilitate each sovereign granting full faith and credit to the other sovereign's court orders

Office of the Chief Prosecutor (OCP) for the Navajo Nation

The OCP within the Division of the Attorney General’s office was established in 1969 to address the Navajo Nation Council’s concern regarding the increase in criminal activity by its elected official, civilian Tribal personnel and the need to prosecute cases within the boundaries of the Navajo Nation.

The Office of Navajo Women & Families was established in 1983 to provide Navajo families with assistance, information, and referrals to foster and maintain preservation, harmony, and encourage self-sufficiency. This program coordinates with all service programs and activities on the Navajo Nation to facilitate an effective and comprehensive delivery of human services to Navajo women and families.
